Week In Review – Letter N
Beautiful weather this week! We got some garden work done, spent every moment we could outside, and we did some fun activities about the letter N.

It may not be much to look at yet or the prettiest set up but so far, so good! Yesterday the kids were pretty impressed with the leftover red clover from the green manure mix I planted in the fall so there’s that! And today one of the girls found the teeniest strawberry I’ve ever seen… I have no idea where it came from! 😂 This morning we transplanted our marigolds and nasturtium to hanging planters I made from milk…
I was FINALLY able to get the rest of our seeds planted last week! We had a late last frost this year so it was a great feeling to get that off the to do list! The peas the kids planted are doing beautifully! Our bell pepper transplants are doing well but our tomatoes are struggling (this weekend I may have to pick up some plants from the store… we’ll see). The green beans and corn are planted and I…
Highlights from our week! Our letter of the week was M, so we made monsters and muffins together. The younger kiddos had fun playing some color and shape matching games that I’ve been working on. We’ve been enjoying the sunshine and exploring the yard looking for bugs and this morning we had a dance party.
This week was busy with our letter of the week and Earth Day… we read lots of FUN books and did some beautiful crafts.
For Earth Day we read Curious George Plants a Tree, and (one of my favorites) The Water Hole. The older kiddos made paintings of the earth and the babies got to play with paint in a mess free, sensory way. We played with playdoh and plastic animals, making tracks in the playdoh, and we talked about our favorite ones. After circle time was done we watched an episode of one of our favorite shows, Ask The Storybots, and learned all…
This week our focus was the letter Kk. We read Koala Lou and Does A Kangaroo Have a Mother Too. We learned about koalas, kookaburras and kangaroos! We turned the letter K into mamma kangaroos and joeys, and we sang the Kookaburra song. We played outside and even though today was rainy we made kites that we can fly another time.
This week’s focus was the letter J, and we had fun with it! We made jaguars, jellyfish and jet planes, we did jellyfish math and learned new songs and dances, and we played some new file folder games. We used pony beads and play doh to form letters, and we watched our peas sprout in the garden.
What a fun week! We spent some time in the garden planting peas and talking about spring, we read lots of fun books (it was hard to pick a favorite this week), did colorful Easter crafts, turned ourselves into bunnies and of course had an egg hunt to close out the week!
