10 Apples Up On Top
This morning has been busy! While we were outside we took a break from playing to collect dried green beans from the garden. We’ll store them so we can plant them next year. It was a great activity for working on some fine motor skills as we had to peel the shells and pinch the tiny beans to put them in our container.
For story time we read “Ten Apples Up on Top”. This will be the third time we read it together and I must say it’s a favorite. We followed that up by using apple halves and red paint to stamp apples on pictures of ourselves. The kids loved it… but, oh, the mess.
We finished up with some dry erase writing practice, a number v letter sort, and a pattern matching task box.
